BecameObsolete Method (ICompareContext)

Returns true if the is not tagged with System.ObsoleteAttribute in the older version of the code base, but is tagged as obsolete in the newer version of the code base.

Syntax

bool BecameObsolete( 
   IMember member
)

Parameters

member: The IMember object. A IMember object can be a IType, IMethod or IField object.

Exceptions

Exception	Description
System.ArgumentException	member does not belong to NewerCodeBase nor OlderCodeBase.

Remarks

This method has a constant time complexity.

Target Platforms: Windows 11, 10, 8, 7 and Linux, MacOS with net8.0, net7.0 or net6.0 installed
